1. Start Creating the Policy
- Go to Dashboard (PC) > Company Settings.
- Open the Work Policy tab.
- Under Working System, select Schedule-based working hours.
- Click [New work policy]
2. Basic Settings
- [Basic / Pregnancy / Postpartum]: Choose the target member type.
- Pregnancy: Overtime cannot be set (per Korean labor law).
- Basic / Postpartum: Overtime settings are available. You can choose between Standard or Part-time work.
- [Standard work / Part-time work]: Affects how overtime is auto-assigned.
- Standard work: Overtime is assigned when the scheduled time exceeds either the legal or contracted hours (whichever is longer).
- Part-time work: Overtime is assigned when the scheduled time exceeds contracted hours.
- Enter a Work policy name. Duplicated names are not allowed.
3. Basic Work Policy
▪︎Contracted working hours
This is the daily working time pre-agreed by the employee and company.
▪︎ Number of working days per week
Weekly contracted working hours are calculated based on the number of working days per week. Weekly contracted working hours are calculated as [Contracted hours x Workdays].
▪︎ Start day of the week
Select which day the workweek starts on.
▪︎ Work hours limit
Set available time ranges when applying or assigning schedules.
▪︎ Allow scheduling on holidays
Allow assigning shifts on holidays or non-working days.
▪︎ Allow punch in only on scheduled work days
When enabled, employees can only clock in on days marked as ‘Work’. You can also set how early clock-in is allowed.
4. Overtime Policy Settings
▪︎ Overtime management
Only available when:
- The [Overtime management] feature is available starting from the Standard plan. You can enable it under Feature settings > Schedule.
- Overtime policy does not apply to members set as "Pregnancy" in compliance with Korean labor law.
- What is the maximum total work hours allowed per week? (Including overtime)Set the maximum combined hours of regular work and overtime that can be assigned or requested per week. Under Korean labor law, this is typically set to 52 hours.
- What is the maximum weekly overtime allowed?Only visible for members with the "Postpartum" policy. Set the maximum daily overtime hours that can be assigned or requested.
- Allow extra overtime based on used leave?Set the total number of overtime hours employees can be assigned/requested per week. Under Korean law, this is typically up to 12 hours.
- Allow extra overtime based on used days off?Only available when using the "Postpartum" policy. Set the weekly overtime limit during the postpartum period.
- Allow overtime request on vacation days?If set to ‘No’, employees cannot request overtime on vacation days—and vice versa.
- If the scheduled hours exceed contracted hours, is the excess automatically assigned as overtime?If set to ‘No’, even if work is scheduled beyond contracted or legal hours, it won’t count as overtime automatically. If ‘Yes’ is selected:
- Selecting 'Yes' will automatically assign hours exceeding the longer of contracted or legal working hours as overtime.
- Standard work: Hours exceeding the longer of contracted or legal working hours will be assigned as overtime.
- Part-time work: Hours exceeding contracted hours will be assigned as overtime.
NOTE
Overtime policy only applies to members who are designated as eligible under Overtime > Settings.
5. Save the New Work Policy
Click the Save button at the top of the page. A popup will appear to set applicable members unless all employees are already assigned to another policy.
If the popup doesn't appear, go to the policy list and click the [Members] column to set targets.
- Click [Add a member] to go to the member management page and change policies.
- When you set [Applicable scope], the policy will auto-apply to new members in that group.
- Use [Apply in bulk] to apply the policy to all current applicable members.
- Check which members are [In effect] or [Scheduled] under the respective tabs.
